Crazy Horse And Custer

An epic of a book comparing the parallel lives of the two men. Stephan E. Ambrose does a great job not getting diverted in the various directions his subjects could have taken him on. Keeps a clear path to when the two warriors actually meet. I really enjoyed this history lesson and feel the author did great research and kept his opinions to a minimum letting the actions of the characters speak for themselves. Lots of references included to keep one busy for a long time in studying this period of time. I'm branching of to read some more about the journalist Henry M. Stanley who made an appearance on the plains.
